Philippines' Dancing Jail; Everyone Wants To Go Inside

The central Philippine island of Cebu is renowned as a holiday destination but these days it's the provincial jail not the balmy beaches that's drawing in the visitors.

Inmates at the prison shot to fame last year when a video clip of them gyrating in synch to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" as part of their exercise regime became a You Tube hit.

The dance sensation, complete with zombie movies and involving over 1,000 prisoners in orange jumpsuits,

They sure have some program over there in the Philippines for their inmates!

I'm not sure this is going to rehabilitate any of these prisoners, but it sure is something to watch 1000 inmates dancing to "Thriller". (not sure WHAT, but it is something!)

Over 14 million people have watched the video.

It's become such an attraction over there (because they're soooo good) that the jail lets people go to the jail to watch them dance, then lets the "fans" meet the dancers/inmates, take pictures with them and get autographs!

At least it's giving them something to do instead of just wandering around the "yard" bored and/or fighting each other.

Maybe they should start synchronized dancing in the jails and prisons here in the US. Inmates may be so busy trying to remember their dance routine that maybe the violence in our jails will decrease!

I'm starting to wonder if maybe these inmates did something wrong and this is their punishment!

I only saw the Soulja boy dance video. I didn't know they had more videos!

Oh, and um...in the zombie video..either that was a man or a really ugly girl.
