Losing the War on Iraq was not easy; it took trillions of dollars and a seemingly endless stream of Pentagon lies.
After the events of 9-11 and the exposure of US torture in the Guantanamo Bay prison, the Pentagon launched a sophisticated Psychological Operation
(PsyOps) against the American public, using retired generals as media shills to promote the War on Iraq, reports the New York Times in "Behind
Military Analysts, the Pentagon's Hidden Hand."
The retired generals, who played the role of "military analyst" on TV and radio news programs, often had lucrative private military contracts or were
rainmakers for "defense contractors." In essence, they became marionettes of the Pentagon -- as if so-called "embedded" journalist-shill-whores
working for the Media Cartel with their non-stop upbeat stories about "progress" in the War on Iraq weren't enough.
