not sure if this actually belongs in this subject...

but i didnt see any obvious place to post it, so try to forgive me. at around 5:50 AM EST select objects in my room shook for a few seconds. the laptop on my bed shook, (which obviously means my bed shook), and some bottles and cans on my dresser shook (again, obviously my dresser shook) but only some of the cans shook and nothing else in my room did. my area is not prone to earthquakes to my knowledge, and though i've never been in one, i have to imagine everything in my room would have shaken if that were the case. has/did anybody encounter(ed) this before? is there a site i can go to to check for minor earthquakes in my area?
