Was gas ever sold by the US gallon in Canada? I thought it was only by the Imperial gallon, then the litre...

We pay more in has prices becuase we get taxed big time by the gov't. We got the GST(good and service tax) the PST(provincial sales tax) and then gas tax and I am sure there is another one.

And it has nothign to do with teh fact we are nto part of the US. In the province i live in we have a gas refinery, and guess what we have the highest gas prices in Canada, ugh.
