Well i remember a thread in about December being made about our diet plans for the new year. I am happy to say my diet has been going quite well but i haven't hit the gym as often i would like, but that will change! My beer belly is virtually gone (probably because i cut down drinking beer every day to just weekends!) and I don't look too bad in general.

So, alot of people said they started diets and exercise programs.

I just wanted to see if you guys have kept up with it.... its almost summmmmmerrrrr!!!

My diet is going along very well thank you hikix. Glad to hear yours is too.

I've cut way back on salt and sugar. I eat no beef and very little other meat.

No more white bread, white rice or white pasta. It's now brown rice, wheat bread and whole wheat pasta.

Started a garden and hope to have fresh home grown veggies in a few months. The "real" farmers started before I did so I'll be getting food from the farmers market very soon.

I live on the coast so will be going out getting fresh seafood now that it's getting warmer.

Best of luck continuing your diet.

Well I wasn't here back then....in the New Year/Christmas Season....but my diet is going pretty good too!

A few days of weakness you know, when Ice Cream just looks tooo tempting... But 10 lbs more to go, and I'll be set for Summer.

I started doing some Yoga, I tried Running (but I seriously SUCK at running. I die after about 10 strides.)

Just better food, and being more active...

Hope lots of people were able to stick to their resolutions.

I actually lost most of what I wanted to lose. I'm only a couple pounds away from my fightin' weight and stuff.

I think elevatedone was supposed to try and eat healthier but...

It started out real well for him but lately I've been finding
crumpled bags of Frito's scoops, Combo bag wrappers still
glistening with a saliva licked finger trail, and bean dip cans
rolling through the kitchen like tumble weeds.

I do try to help!!

You consume too many snacks for
the fun way to burn.

I'm proud that you lost 3 but it would be easier on
everyone if no snacks were in the house

:bash: and are forms of upper arm excerise for me.
We can go that route if you prefer!

Then I'd say it's a win win situation.

Now quit trying to distract me and stop eating the snacks!

The hardest part of dieting, it seems, is maintaining the weight after you lose.

I'd be interested in everyone's strategies in that regard.

Do people normally just go off the diet totally, or do they keep some parts the same.

How many people use an online calorie calculator?

TIA, and happy dieting!

I think the most important part of a diet is consistency. My diet's going pretty good... spaghetti, pizza, beer.

Glad to say my lifestyle change has worked wonders.

In the last 6 months i have lost 26kg (was 106kg now 80kg) and am currently training for the Sydney Marathon - did my longest run to date so far of 21km!
