Ummmm.... it's contractided by mosquito bites.

With that said, and the fact that it has been found at all but is not screened for at all....the numbers reported can no way near the mark.

Just a warning for those who may be affected by such things, there are some graphic images of internal organs and stuff in that file. Nothing violating the T&C, but if you are grossed out by such stuff, be warned.

I am getting a dog next week for the first time, and was looking up information on heart worm and came across that. I thought west nile was bad.

I just FREAK at bugs and things like that. If I ever got lice, I would just flip out and probably have to be checked in , no joke. I could not even image, hearing, "Oh, you have a case of heart worm" ewww

I just had to share that one when I saw it.
