My everyday perfume is Classic Zen by Shiseido. It can be hard to find sometimes, it was reformulated and the original discontinued in North America years ago. I buy it from a store that imports it from Japan - I'm on a list and they call me once a year to come pick up my perfume.

It's described as jasmine, rose, burnished woods, and soft mosses. Soft, pretty and peaceful.

I also use Chanel No. 5, 5th Avenue and Black Pearls, depending on my mood.

It's a brilliant marketing plan. The kids go in with their parents, the music is way too loud,can't hear, can't see a darn thing, no room to move, kid picks out over priced clothes, parent says, "whatever let's just get the hell out of here."

But back on topic, my kids love the Holl. cologne/perfume.

Ducky, here's a picture of the bottle. It looks like a whiskey bottle!

I actually almost got in trouble with the cops one time when they were doing a DWI checkpoint cause I had the bottle laying on the dashboard! :shk:

That's really insightful, I never thought of it like that!

You're definitely right about everything though. I need a flashlight whenever I go in that store!

I get it at the Bay near my house - the manager of the Shiseido counter special orders it for some of her customers, but she only gets one shipment a year. You can get it online from a few places - an Amazon.com store, Macy's online and some of those internet perfume stores.

Whenever our QC guy goes to Japan to check out suppliers, he picks me up a bottle at the duty-free.

It's a bit pricey, but I love it. It's like serenity in a bottle.

Sometimes, when I can get it;

I also like;

It's been awhile, though.
Mostly, now I wear (if I bother),
sunflowers, even though it's got synthetic fragrance in it and it kind of gives me a headache.

edit to add; If you are at the cosmetic counter, you can ask for sample perfumes (for free)

I forgot all about GIO, yes it is fabulous, they make one for women too, I used it for years, until I moved to the states.
Once when I was in surgery the anesthesiologist and I had a nice talk about how wonderful it is, I was wearing it, before she put me under. An other nurse had to ask us to stop chatting.
Ah, yes Armani.

I also like Jessica McClintock and (if desperate) vanilla extract from the cupboard!

I wear this perfume called Cherry Vanilla and that's pretty much exactly what it smells like. It actually is a perfume too, not a body spray.

I don't like most colognes, they all smell like soap to me. Although this guy at work wears Adidas which smells nice and another guy I knew a long time ago wore some avon stuff but I can't remember what it's called and I think it is discontinued. Leather something or other...that was yummy!

Black Leather?
Smells GOOD.
I'm picky,
I don't like ANYTHING synthetic or cheap from China! So many things are!
Then, if it's very expensive, I wonder if it has human hormones in it!

If my husband *birthday gift* is reading this *Christmas gift*
please don't think *just because gift*I would ever
expect *anniversary gift* you to buy this for me.

And Duckster I think I don't recall ever wearing my husband's cologne
but I have sprayed a fine mist on the bed. It's a comforting smell to me.
