User Login

Is there really no login at the "site home" page (or am I just missing it)?

Given the fact that I can see no option for login at the home page, I generally click one of the interesting hot topics, (at which point I can log in), but then immediately after logging in I am taken to a new page where I have to waste time navigating my way back to the original topic I was viewing prior to the login.

For such a technically advanced site, this sure seems to be a cumbersome method of login. Why not just place a login field on the front page?

Click on "join" to access the log-in area.

Its true that one click of a finger is required. Must be exhausting, huh?
