Admiral steps down - is that it? are we headed into Iran?

Topic started on 12-3-2008 @ 06:04 AM by verbal kint

It appears to me that the admiral, while not forced or asked to step down, essentially had to do so for himself. I think the final word to attack Iran was spoken, and in order to maintain his integrity and morals, he stepped down. He gave the reason of the divisive press as a reason because it points to the real reason, but does not undermine the administration's policy nor create a loyalty rift between the administration and himself for anyone serving under him. He did the "patriotic" thing - which he had to do for the safety of his troop i believe.

So is that it? Is attacking Iran inevitable? It's so wrong. I want the troops to revolt. To say no. There've got to be a lot of them who realize it's all BS. I believe attacking Iran is the final straw. I personally can let it go no further than it already has. But what can I/we do? I'm open to all suggestions and advice.
