brotherhood of the blade (not the game)

I have searched the forum for any information on this society and can find nothing. I was told by my brother that it is some kind of watching society (?) or justice society? He claims to know a member and ask me to see what I could find out about it on the internet. (he is not "net savvy"). I am not having much luck and wonder if someone is just kidding him. He lives in Miami, Florida and so does this society member. Any help would be really appreciated.
