Just got back from driving the kid to school and on the radio (Power 96) they are saying that there is a "Smoking Ban" indoors and outdoors today in
Miami/Dade and Broward Counties till 9pm today due to the Red Flag warning for fire danger.
Now I've heard of red flag fire warning meaning no burning of debris, campfires, etc, but a smoking ban indoors and outdoors?????
Per the radio, the smoking ban will be enforced with a $182.50 ticket and stores aren't even selling cigarettes in some places.
I'm all for fire prevention and safety, but this seems a little extreme doesn't it?
btw if anyone can find info on this I'd appreciate it.
Here is the "red flag" warning, but no mention of a smoking ban
