Well, wild mushrooms were the cause of my first experience with phosphenes and they're really quite hypnotic

'Hot pixels' in your retina is the best description of them and that was over 30 years ago. I've been seeing them ever since then on occasion when I sneeze.

Gotta be careful with mushrooms I guess.
