Edit Button (gone) ???

Is it just me or has anyone else lost the 'edit button' from their posts ?

If it is only me could someone please tell me how to get it back ?

If everyone else has lost their 'edit button' too ... why ? ... will they be coming back ?


Ok, now I'm slightly 'freaked'. It appears that there is an edit button on this thread ... but still not getting one when I click onto other threads !!!

Why would you need to alter masterpieces?

I'm not having the problem. Perhaps a u2u to the boyz would help.

No you needed,

You have a 2 hour window to edit your posts after that you lose that ability for that post.

You only have a short window to edit your posts. I believe it's two hours.

This prevents people from going back and editing their posts weeks to months later to "win an argument" or claim they never said something" or etc...
.

I'm sure I never used to be this paranoid before I came to ATS.

Well, that's the official line...

I personally think that it's to keep us ATS'ers on our toes to ensure that we take care with our posts seeing as we only have two hours in which to edit it.

It's a spelling, grammar and punctuation conspiracy, I tell thee.
