Just watched the space shuttle pass overhead!

Topic started on 12-2-2008 @ 01:28 PM by The Bandit

Well that was impressive, even though it was just a bright orange light in the sky... until it went dark from going out of the suns line of sight

Witnessed by several in south wales, the Space shuttle just passed overhead from the west heading south-south west....

Is this a common sight in other places around the world?

I've managed to view it a couple times when conditions were right. I use these two links to get an idea of the time and location to look.

spaceflight.nasa.gov...

science.nasa.gov...

I wish I had a telescope so I could try to see some detail.
