I've heard that there a lot of these out there. I'll have to look at this article more and I would love to check some out myself. It kinda reminds me of an X-files (yes I like the show and I am a dork) episode, and no I do not expect to find a UFO or little green men. That would be wishful thinking. There has to be a lot more old government junk out there to explore as well.

yeah I saw this before, definitely take the time to go through the whole tour. See how extensive these things are and try to guess what they would have cost.

Having been involved in the decomissioning of a couple of Nike bases, I can attest first hand experience that the author of that site is right about one thing. Those places are nasty. I wouldn't wory about radon gas, but the asbestos, lead paint, and potentially oxygen depleted atmosphere are very real hazards.
