MUNICH, Germany - Lingering anger in Europe over the U.S. invasion of Iraq explains why some allies are reluctant to heed U.S. calls for more combat troops in Afghanistan, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Friday. It was his first public acknowledgment of such a link to the Iraq war.

Yep, not hard to figure out why allies are no longer willing to commit troops. When Country leaders lie and abuse power for the purpose of serving special-interest agendas, eventually people figure it out, and no longer trust them. It's just a shame they could not have FOCUSED on Afghanistan to begin with---Then this would be a non-issue. Nobody trusts us anymore now.
