WASHINGTON - President Bush threatened a veto Tuesday in the debate to update terrorist surveillance laws, assailing Democratic plans to deny protection from lawsuits for telecommunications providers that let the government spy on U.S. residents after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Why does this not surprise me? Bush and the corproations working hand in hand to protect eachother from the reprecussions of breaking the law, violating the Constitution, and further enslaving the American people within a police-state. What is the point of even having any rights if you can't even sue for justice when these rights are violated?

I am not in favor of any secret courts ruling on anything. Sounds awfully Nazi-esque to me. But now there is absolutely no court oversight anyway. Raw power now rests exclusively in the hands of a cabal who's plans are detrimental to true American values, human rights, liberty and justice for all.
