Thanks for the clarification. I am certainly no "expert" on the Chinese and didn't mean to sound like one. I made an assumption that she was a Chinese immigrant and would have maintained Chinese naming conventions. And to your point, I have no knowledge of a "Ning" family name either, but you never know... I have seen some really strange English names. At any rate, back on topic, it seemed to me that it would be important to sort out the proper naming conventions to successfully locate her. My apologies if I introduced any confusion.

Strange thing happened today, folks. I am trying to do some follow up research on Dr. Baker, and went to his site:

www.drrobertbaker.com...

I also went to his "Gravwave, LLC" site:

www.gravwave.com...

Both of these sites are down.

When i try to open the cache pages, it takes forever, and little of the content is there.

Is there anyone out there with other ideas? I am likely going to send another email to Dr. Baker in the upcoming days (if the site doesn't come back online).

You could check to see if both url's expired at networksolutions.com

Sorry no other ideas... Unless that plasma project announced at the Florida University is getting some legs?????

edited: spinning disc out and inserted plasma, see post below for clarification

BFT,

I stand corrected. I wonder where I got the 'spinning' part... I must have been dreaming when I read this:

news.ufl.edu...

But our great wall friends are busy and maybe getting close:

www.sciencedaily.com...

This reminds me of your thread regarding the physicist from Pennsylvania and his patents that went dark in the early 70's(timing)?? Or is this a different tech?

Dr. Baker is working with China to get the HFGW project going. He foresee's a 10 year turnaround for them to be able to generate and detect HFGW, and maintain a program.

The Iron based semiconductor is a very interesting piece, honestly. My concern is portability. That is a lot of mass to tote around, you know?

I hear that there are superconductors that are being developed using carbon nanotubes.

Materials science is one of those things that i really enjoy researching. At the nano and femto scale the world begins to look more and more like a Salvador Dali print.

that was hilarious. Thanks for the early morning chuckle.
