This is the story of two Russian cosmonauts who visited the city this week - and the pupils from Brackensdale Junior School and Reigate Junior School who boldly went to meet them.

If an astronaut told you that he believed in aliens you might start taking the X-Files a bit more seriously.

Veteran spaceman Vladimir Solovev has spent more than a year of his life in space and although he hasn't actually seen little green men he's sure they are out there somewhere.
Mr Solovev and fellow cosmonaut Alexander Martynov spoke at Mackworth College after staff arranged for the pair to visit Derby.
As part of a gruelling tree-day tour of the area, which ended yesterday, the cosmonauts visited the university, Rolls-Royce and spoke to local school children.
For the two men, talking to the children was one of the most enjoyable aspects of their visit - and one that prompted talk of space toilets and aliens.
"People always seem to be interested in how spacemen go to the toilet, they are fascinated, but it is understandable given the problems with weightlessness and such," said Mr Solovev.
"The other thing people always ask us is about space aliens - but that is not necessarily a bad thing."
If you believe the Washington Post Mr Solovev has already come face-to-face with beings from another planet and seven angels who surrounded his craft on a mission in 1984.
He added: "I could not believe they put that in such a serious paper.
"I've never seen any aliens but I am sure we are not alone in the universe."

Good find. The newspaper was wrong about Martynov, who was not a cosmonaut and never posed as one. Solovyov is plenty real, plenty smart. He's now chief of Mission Control in Moscow.

Do Angels help the athiest minded during their near death experiences? I am not sure, maybe those that do probably have an aunt on the otherside trying get you in.

Russians are communists and not very pro faith, so if that is the case then they were fortunately saw more than they should then maybe they they to rethink what anti religious communism is doing to their people guiding them away from God and why.

I personally haven't seen anything that resembled an angel but that doesn't mean that they don't exist just cos I haven't seen one. My mind is always open to new possibilities. In regards to the cosmonauts seeing them, could very well be, there is no amount of talking and discussion that is going to tell us either way unless we see for ourselves.

What has not be adequately examined are the testable facts presented by the OP. We know that at least one name on the list of witnesses on the scene is false , him never having been a spaceman. But how much of the rest of the tale can be substantiated?
Further more, IF this tale of angels is to be believed then I can understand how a picture of one would fail to come out perfectly. In Christian text, angels are said to be messengers of God, and also that if man were to observe the material structure of God himself, that it would shatter thier mortal bodies entirely, burning them with his light (this would be different from God appearing to a person through some other medium,for instance a burning bush,which would be an illusory mask to prevent harm to the mortal). If thats the case , then one could be forgiven for proposing that Angels carry a measure of that light, being His messengers , and if a picture would be taken of an angel , that it could concieveably over expose the image.

Although it is very very probably not true (taking into account the facts presented so far), i'll take the bite, for the sake of argument.
The first idea that sprout in my mind was that of a mental projection...
Think of this, suppose there are dudes from other places coming here, we can assume that if they can achieve interstellar travel, they are at the very least a few hundreds of years ahead of us, were they to "scan" the collective conciousness, to give it a name, they would find that the figure that appears the most benevolent, under different names and dresses, are these "angels" And so, if they were interested in making a positive first contact, it'd be logic for them to "project" that image in our minds, in order to reach an emotional bond that wouldn't form in a standard "hello world" radio message...
Of course, this is pure fantasy, but wouldn't that be cool as hell?

Although there is no such thing as angels, there is such a thing as light bodies, which people would describe as angelic. You can see your own during OOBEs, Ive seen mine before, it looks like translucent light. This report seems very probable. If you dont believe its possible, you should get into astral projection/OOBEs(2 different things btw) and prove yourself wrong.

Angels, Light beings, E.T.s, flares or jus a conventional light phenomena? You decide.

Perhaps what the Russians observed were beings so far advanced they have no need for bodies, and can travel throughout the universe using the power of thought. It would only make sense that when coming in contact with another species, these spirit beings took on an appearance of being something completely non threatening such as in this case involving humans. "Angels" or at least paintings of what they may look like, are familiar to most humans, and are considered as being helpful toward humanity and nothing to be afraid of.

Shouldn't we move this topic to the "Gray Area"? It has no verifiable sources and as another poster has shown, the named Cosmonauts were not in space during the claimed time.

The '1985' story has the correct crew for the claimed date, but the story itself did not originate from 'Pravda'. I think have the original clipping in some archives and as I recall it was the 'Weekly World News'.

I was really sick in January 2000 with pnuemonia. After spending the day at the doctors waiting and getting medial tests, I came home and laid down in the sunshine in bed. I could hear the angels singing in my head.
The doctors called me the next day after the radiologists looked at the x rays, and confirmed what I knew, I had pneumonia. When you feel like an elephant sat down on your lungs, please get to the doctors ASAP.

I just watched the 3rd season opener of "Nasa's Unexplained Files", and one of the subjects was a sighting of very unusual "flapping" ufo's that were seen by the ISS astronauts back in June 2015. I tried to pull up any video of what was shown, but suspect it has not been posted yet as I couldn't locate it, yet. Shortly after 3 ufo's were seen in what looked like a trajectory of them leaving earth orbit and heading out into space, the live feed went black from NASA for some reason. The objects did not appear to be floating. They appeared to be leaving orbit and heading out into space. I have seen many ufo's and many ufo's videos in my life but I have never seen any that looked like these. Upon looking at an isolated view of the ufo's, which unfortunately weren't all that clear, they did look like some parts were pulsing, or as they were referred to, "flapping" like birds or angels. At this time they did mention the sightings some years ago by Russian Cosmonauts of some type of humanoid looking ufo's or angelic beings sighting. I will continue to watch for the video of this program so I can add it.
