It is interesting to me that cloverfield seems to be uin some part related to the "bloop"sound that was captured in the summer of 97'.....which scientists say was from an animal, but the animal would HAVE TO BE ATLEAST TWICE AS LARGE AS THE BLUE WALE,probably bigger.....keep in mind it was heard in a 5000km radius originating somewhere off the coast of south america around a trench.you can check this all out by simplly googling bloop sound.i would love some feed back on this......for i find it interesting that there may be a creature in our ocean many times larger than the blue whale that lives in trench depths.

I've never heard of this bloop sound before. I read the wikipedia article and it does say that the animal would have to be much larger then a blue whale. Is that image sacreligion provided supposed to be an artist portrayal? Because that animal is 5 kilometers long, which is much much bigger then a blue whale.

I've seen a few fan drawings of what they thought the monster looked like.

Like a cross between a whale and those crustaceans you see in the beach sand.

It's supposedly modeled after a Lovecraft story so it might contain elements of Cthulhu.

There was a commercial on for it recently but it was hard to make out the actual figure.

When I saw the new preview, the silhouette of the beast looked like a big beaver or gopher?

Peace

The new news is that the beast is a plant. This could be BS though

Plants don't make that Gozilla sound that you hear in the trailer of Cloverfield.

I'd be surprise that trees can swim oceans and walk on land.

The monster supposedly gets that way from -eating- a plant.

This is during prehistoric times. It gets bigger then becomes dormant.

Later, they use this plant to make a drink and it wakes up the monster.

At least that's what I heard.

yea it prolly should be on the mythical beast forum, but oh well.that image is an actual computerized image of the sound, which was heard for over an hour many times during the year.if you search "bloop sound" on google you will find many sites, listen to the actual sound.not the speed up one,you can also find articles on cnn and noaa about it as well.......just think it is interesting that a creature that big might exsist.....want to know your opinions.also yea i think the movie summary did get leaked on the net,i read it and it matches well to what the trailers show so far...and that monster drawing looks close to what you can see briefly in the trailer..........thanks for your replies.
