Happy new YEAR 2008

it may just be 29/31 for some of us and early but in a few hours people in the far east will be going into 2008
so i thought i would start the topic now

Oh yes, HNY to everyone. Less than 3/4 of an hour to go here before it is 08...

No drinking and partying for me! Xmas + wedding and I am over the whole drinks stuff, but never mind. I started to get ready to go to a party, got out of the shower, put my sarong on and that is as far as I got!!

Anyway, best wishes to everyone.

Happy Hogmanay from Scotland !!

I said to my US friends on ATS, at Thanksgiving, that I'd return their generous offers of turkey ... so here for you all are some traditional Scottish Hogmanay gifts ... (don't laugh, I'm dishing out this stuff tonight to everyone I "first foot")

A tall dark handsome man to be your "first foot" after the bells ... (that'll be me, obviously, but Sir Sean will have to do for you lot)



Some fuel for your fire ...



Some food ... black bun



And last but not least, some drink ... (no ice please, for ice in whisky is a sin)



I'm off out tonight to Edinburgh for the fireworks & festivities.
