The Republicans, led by George W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani and their hard-core neoconservative hit squads, have spent millions on television messages supporting the military surge in Iraq. They mounted a major campaign to demonize MoveOn.org in order to derail the group’s proven ability to raise funds for antiwar messages and Democratic candidates. During the election year, pro-war Republicans are poised to promote staying the course in Iraq while threatening or even instigating a war on Iran. The Democrats will have to respond with more than an echo.

A plan for peace?
Is this a reasonable attempt to get the peace the majority wants?
Of succesful, can this model be expanded upon globaly and bring about the end of warfare and/or weapons manufacturing?

As much as it seems a good method, is it practical and will it be financially viable or is it just another money/political spin?

It does seem to be focused towards a certain few individuals that are currently running for the presidency, though no fingers are pointed, which in utself, is a good tactical sign.

Yes, it might work for America, but what about every other country? If America stands down, then this must overflow to other nations otherwise the USA will leave itself open for retaliations.

What would Anerica do if it was attacked after a stand down?
Refuse to fight?

This can't be aimed at just one country, it has to spread globally.

If you think a modern day peace movement without any direct action can overcome, you're joking yourself. Buy guns, take up your existing rights as an American, and don't allow yourself to be steamrolled by the authorities. People can flash those peace signs all they want, but it's going to be the gun toting Americans that will be their only barrier between protesting peacefully, and dying in the streets they're marching in.
