Well, it is a "Christian thing" insofar the Christians were accused - in ancient Rome of the Late Empire days, that moral paragon of society

of being "incestuous" for greeting customarily with a kiss.
(Oh and BTW, they were accused of cannibalism, too, but that's a different story...)
And yes, it's totally insane. More than insane: it's a deeply immoral, disgusting, filthy mentality that prohibits people from displaying affection
in the most natural of ways.
And since history repeats itself, or so we're told, I'd be very worried...
