Quick question, Jack:

I'd love to attend, but...

What are the hours of the event scheduled to be? If I were to get into the City I'd be travelling by train, so I need to know how late the festivities are likely to go.

Unless, of course, someone in Manhattan has a couch I can crash on.

Jack, I never worked on the puzzle, though I followed it fairly closely. I couldn't go if I wanted to anyway. (Besides, I like to think of ATS as this shadowy group of conspirators huddled in basements trying to solve the riddles of impending doom, not a bunch of drunks in the lobby of an upscale hotel. )

But I would like to nominate you as the most selfless person of 2007. Very nice of you to do this. Very unselfish. You are what we members are all about; wanting the best for our fellow humans. We may fight and scuffle amongst ourselves, but we're still a family. A dysfunctional family at times, but a family none the less.

I agree. I spent a few nights just me and Jack working on that darn thing, and it was frustrating for everyone at times.
Jack gets a million gold stars from me, for effort, collaboration, dedication, and selflessness.

sigh...

wish it was not on a monday! .. I would have loved to go, but this short of notice I cannot drive that far that fast for that short of time. I will make it to the ATS members only party though! Which SO better throw sometime within the year! Shouldn't be to expensive, we can make it BYOB!

Hmm. Is it 2 hours and then we get thrown out of the hotel, or 2 hours for the main event and then 4 hours of hanging out and getting aquainted and discussing holographic airplanes over hors d'oevres and cocktails?
