Indigenous and Christian beliefs peacefully coexist in Bolivia

news.bbc.co.uk

The Aymara people have lived in the Andes for more than 2,000 years, pre-dating the Incas who ruled over large parts of the west of South America.

The llama foetus is considered sacred by many in Bolivia
Many of their traditional beliefs remained intact during the later Spanish colonisation and they still survive today.

I found the article to be an interesting read. I don't see how the two faiths have fused together but the important thing is that they seem to coexist without bloodshed.
Is there really any difference between native healers and so called miracles of the Christian faith ?

Actually, they've coexisted in Latin America and South America for ... well, a very long time. One of the most amusing and interesting things is that the Deer God participates in Christian religious festivals.

But there's not the focus on converting everyone to the same religion. There are many other areas of the world where more than one faith lives quite comfortably alongside another.

Bryd thanks for the reply.
IMO they may be momentary broke in Bolivia but in terms of morality they are a lot richer then many people and regions around the world. Morality does expand beyond religious tolerance but other issues are for other threads.

Christianity, practiced correctly, can coexist with any faith in existence. However, we all know that not everyone practices TRUE Christianity... Too many just want to wear the title of "Christian" and still carry their ingrained hatred with them. :shk:
