what do u think? if we are successful in landing on Mars, if it would be possible to build a launch pad in order to visit other planets... since we'd be closer to them on Mars than we are on Earth. would it even benifit us?

Sure but it would be better to use the moon, the gravity is less and it has plenty of fuel

It would be convenient, and if we do indeed establish a mars colony, I'm sure ideas like this would be put into good use.

It'd be pretty hard - the next planet is a long way off. Plus, it's through that bloody asteroid belt - you try navigating your way through that thing without being smashed to a pulp. Could we even colonise Jupiter? It's just a gas giant - we couldn't even enter it's atmosphere alive. It would be interesting to maybe send a manned flight around other planets, maybe take a closer look. It would also be interesting to see another planet colonised. Plus, we have a whole new planet to screw up with pollution!

Is the universe on a falt plane? would it be possible to just go 'over' the asteroid belt to get to jupiter?

Mars would be a great colony because of the high content of Nitrogen that could be converted into air and fuel for rockets. But Jupiter saturn are uninhabitable. I think that for aleast the next 100 years we will be exploring our own neck of the woods. Untill be can get ships that can travel at sublight speeds.I think its humanities destiny to explore the reaches of space. As far as Aliens having nukes seeing as they are advanced they probably have moved beyond thermonuclear weapons into some other less destructive weapons, seeing how nukes cause major rad issues they are not a very good weapon, if you want to conquer someone.

Actually polluting mars would be a good idea!! The greenhouse effect would raise the climate a few degrees
and melt ice caps ect. It would actually make it more habital
