www.msnbc.msn.com...

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears has lost custody of her children, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to court documents obtained by Access, Kevin Federline will be granted custody of the couple’s two kids — Sean Preston and Jayden James — on Oct. 3.

Apparently Kevin Federline makes a better parent?

As much as I want to cheer because I can't stand her, I really can't help but feel sorry for her. Hopefully she cleans up her life now.

Peace

For a very long time, we've been forced to endure the childish antics of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, etc. And for just as long, we've been forced to endure the rantings of others, based on their behaviour.

There is one glaring difference between Spears over the other "socialites". Her children. This little meltdown that we've witnessed over the last few months has gone on for far too long, and it has developed to a point that I never thought it would reach. I know it feels nice to sit back and rejoice in the suffering of this individual, as she clearly deserves it. For once, we see someone feel the natural consequences of their actions, just as "we" all have to in our day to day lives.

But none of that changes anything.

I don't want to go around bitter, taking satisfaction from the misfortune of others.

I don't like Britney Spears. I think she is a terrible mother, a mediocre person, and an extremely selfish individual.

But none of that changes anything.

The fact of the matter is, this is a human being who is in pain. An individual that is suffering. An individual who has two young children that are caught in the middle of this. None of this is right.

For once, people should just back off and withhold their petty judgments. It's obvious what has happened here, but judging her does nothing.

I'm completely on board with the Doc here. I despise this girl. But I genuinely hope that she can turn her life around, and live a satisfying life with her children. Everybody deserves that.

Best wishes to her and her children.

some people are just not fit to be parents....we all have seen her antics as you have said.
these mega rich celebs walk around and act like they can do whatever with no fear of punishment.....

happens all the time.
fathers lose their children for a million reasons.....the hell makes her so special?

anyway, he only has custody 'for now'...this is not over and she is gonna go through the motions and at least get a partial back.

she is not in pain.

her poor kids are.....

she brought ALL this on herself.....she had the world by the balls and pissed it away......thats only her fault.

i'd like to see this happen more often actually.....so often fathers lose custody for no better reason than 'kids belong with their mom'

well, not all the time they don't

edit*

she is going to go through parenting classes adn all that and she will get them back...sad really.
bounce the kids back and forth.

I could care less. Single parents lose their kids every day to the other parent. What makes Britney so special that she gets the headlines for it?

Of course, that's the type of society we live in. We care more about what's happening to Britney's kids than we do our own kids. Ask any parent what's happened to Britney's kids, then ask them what their kid did today at school. I'm willing to bet that they don't have an answer for the second question.

Poor Kids,poor Britney.
Sad situation all around.
Its sad to see children being used as pawns.
Seeing them passed back and fourth,as well as being tabloid stories is a shame.
Their is a thing called privacy and good taste, sadly, those are lost on todays society.

While correct at times I'm sure, it is is a massive generalization based on the lowest common denominator in our society. Not exactly a fair assessment for most parents that we would come across in our day to day lives. We are wrapped up in the lives of celebrities far too much, and at times we need to be more involved in the lives of our own.

But to say, "ask any parent" and see their response, I think that is a massive, inaccurate generalization.
