Still, word is getting out, even if the major news media aren't covering it the Internet community is. With these powerful images and eyewitness
stories we can make others more aware and garner more support for the Burmese people.
The longer they hold out, the more international support we can gather and the greater the pressure will be for other nations to intercede on behalf
of these courageous, wonderful people.
Like many people, until recently, this was outside of my scope of knowledge. The last uprising there occurred before I was old enough to be
politically involved on a national level, let alone an international one.
Now we have the means to educate and inform the majority of the world, to make people aware and get them to act.
Protests are taking place all over the globe and the internet is driving support on several fronts.
Let us hope that the people of Burma can remain strong and the outcome will be satisfying for them.
