D'ya really think they couldn't keep a dead animal out?

how will you stop anyone from trying ?
when these were built, it was with the understanding that
there was a security force topside to protect these bunkers

so when Sit-X happens,
and you and your family/friends are 10+ feet under
how are you going to stop a group of attackers
who may have unlimited time and resources
( dynamite - heavy equipment )

from " digging you out "

I already answered that question, if you'd follow my link. I admit it's a pretty far-fetched solution, but look at the subject we're discussing here. The entire concept of buying a cold war era bunker is far-fetched to begin with, so I'm going by the assumption we're allowed to be way "over the top" in this topic.

Regardless of the time and resources somebody has, they'll have a much harder time digging you out of a hardened cold war bunker than they would have in digging you out of, say, your house.

That much, I can agree with. Anyone who buys ANYTHING for hundreds of thousands of dollars, for any reason, who does not stop to way the pros and cons should get in touch with me. I've got some oceanfront property in Nevada I'm looking to sell.
