Device explodes in Liverpool,

Some sort of device has exploded in or near St Edwards school in Liverpool,

I'm hearing that it could be a nail bomb, But nothing confirmed yet,

Also if this is in a school, Its almost 6pm here in the UK so kids would not really be there,

More will follow as I get more info.

Well Ive just seen the headlines on BBC and it says nothing about this ????

wow, nightmare. this sounds awful. Gonna put the news on, see if they're covering it...... hope there are no injuries or worse.

The school has from what i can tell 3- 11 year olds, i believe its a Roman Catholic school,

no reports of injurys so far,

could have been much worse. wonder who is responsible??? obviously jumping to the terrorist conclusion but time will tell i suppose.

Just a update,


It was a fire work type device covered with nails,

Also they believe it was ment to go of at the end of school time,



It had been placed inside the car,

Appeals to public to come forward with any info

There looking for 2 men who they believe may have something to do with it,

they where seen shortly before

One of the men they want to question is white, stocky, aged between 40-50 years-old. He is 5ft 9in-5ft 10in tall, and possibly had light coloured or ginger hair.

They have no description of the second man.

Superintendent Ian Pilling, who called the crime "despicable", that a teacher's silver car was "extensively damaged".
