Preseident Bush last week announced plans to have around 30,000 troops back home for next summer.
Yet it seems that those numbers have risen highly since.

The US defence secretary, Robert Gates has suggested that as many as 60,000 could be returned home.

Full story

Is the country really ready for US troops to leave? Is there any way to stop another dictator gaining control?

Are the US really leaving because they feel they dont need such great numbers of troops there anymore..or is it because they see difficult situations arriving with other countries such as Russia China or Iran?

Are troops being brought back to possibly be trained for new assignments?

Well, we'll just have to wait and see won't we.

Although I highly suspect a war with china in the near future such as 2009-2012. But I have yet to do more research on the subject
