Connecticut's Bradley International Airport saw a partial evactuation of all passengers and employees earlier today due to a potential breach of
airport security.
Employees found a plastic utility knife in a restroom trash can located beyond a security checkpoint in one of the terminals. That terminal was
evacuated while the area was further searched. Passengers were herded into the street outside, but were allowed back in after the search was
completed and rescreened. Flight delays were reported, but no flights were cancelled.
It is not known who brought the knife into the airport or how it was passed through security checkpoints.
A "plastic utility knife" is more commonly known as a boxcutter, the instruments used by hijackers on 9/11.
