This says near the coast, but I heard on CNN it was off the coast, I wonder if this generate tsunamis.

IRIS/USGS is putting it near the coast, at 8.8 km which seems near the surface compared to other quakes.
Also, rating it at 6.9.

no tsunami according to NOAA, that might change though
