have you seen the campaign for the far right in swedon?
anyone that isnt switz (doesnt matter if you were born there)

is treated completly diffrent from switz nationals
if you arent switz you are most likely to prosicuted
and given a prsion term where the switz are most likely let off with a warning

A recent study by the Federal Department for Foreigners found that while, at first glance, foreigners appear to be committing more crime than the Swiss, foreigners, especially young men, are also more likely to be charged - whereas young Swiss may be let off with a caution for the same offence.

Storm of criticism

But now that the poster is visible all over Switzerland, there has been a storm of criticism too.

Swiss Jewish groups say the symbolism of the poster, and its use of colour, is frighteningly reminiscent of Nazi propaganda.

"I think it's a disgusting way to conduct politics," said Alfred Donath, president of the Swiss Federation of Jewish Communities.

"It is entirely contrary to Switzerland's humanitarian tradition, and really not the way we should do things."

Whats the big deal? Its their country and they have a right to run it as they see fit.

I personally wish that the US had the immigration/citizenship restrictions, mandatory military service, mandatory ownership of firearms, direct democracy, etc that the Swiss have.

Ive been to Switzerland a few times, also recently, and can assure you the swiss people are very far away from being fascist or racist. I dont need to read any "sources" or "news" on this because I know the current country and its people from first-hand-experience.

I don't see how the poster is nazi propaganda. What, is red now an illegal color if you're a German-speaker?

I don't have any problem with non-citizens being held to a separate standard. The pre-political meaning of "discriminate" is to "notice a difference between two things."

the liberal/socialist correctspeak is that we are not supposed to be aware of any differences, even though there is often a correlation with crime and some given social habit. But again, liberal/socialist dogma is anti-government and anti-police---any tool that helps fight crime must be infringing on someone's rights.

I can see where socialists would dislike the Switz for having an intact government and law enforcement structure, and still having a national identity.

Exactly Strangecraft, god forbid we try to preserve the national identity of our nations.

Whatever happened to the concept of "when in [blank], do as the [blankers] do?
