Does the Government Use Us?

Does anyone here think that the government might possibly leak some of the information that forms conspiracy theories on purpose? Maybe as a way of desensitizing the public so they don't come out and shock everyone drastically and cause a huge uproar?

It would make sense, I mean that's what I would do...

Absolutely. They paint the canvas so slowly and carefully that you don't even see the picture emerge until its too late to do anything about it and it all seems normal anyway, so why would you want to?

They habituate us slowly to accept negative behaviors and conditions as acceptable. They function at the lowest common denominator and the mass (hysteria) media is complicit - their puppet.

They also use misinformation, disinformation and obfuscation at every possible turn in order to make issues seem so overwhelming or convoluted that we feel helpless to affect change or reverse course.
