Yet again Iran seem's to have taken another step towards obtaining nuke's. Surely it's now only a matter of time before Bush order's in the bombers?

What a stupid regime. Spending all that money and resources to go nuclear while they oppress their own citizens....too bad for them its going to all go up in smoke-literally.

Iran's uranium enrichment process is irrelevant.
They can't make plutonium with it.

It's always been irrelevant! They can just buy the fuel from Russia for the Russian reactor they've built and make plutonium there!

This whole thing has just been one big red herring .
It makes it look like the US is being diplomatic (over a non-issue) so they can sell the war ...again.

So what if they can buy uranium from Russia. They dont even need to do that-they have their own that they can mine. What is significant is now they have the ability to ENRICH uranium-thats the key.

No, the key is that Enriched uranium is just as useless as the Enriched Uranium they would get from Russia. You can't make a bomb worth a damn with Enriched Uranium. HEU or LEU. Enriched Uranium is a Red Herring, it's something for media consumption and to scare the public.

!!!Without a working reactor!!!, they can't turn it into plutonium.
They can buy enriched uranium from Russia .
They can make it themselves, but it will be many times slower than just buying it from Russia. Iran making their own uranium is a non-issue.

Until Iran starts making plutonium, which would be obvious to any inspection, the country is not a threat to anyone.

Um you can build a bomb using just enriched uranium. Yes plutonium is the preferred method as you dont have to use as much to achieve similar yield, but a uranium bomb is quite effective especially if boosted using deuterium.
