Sorry if this has been done already. But I was wondering if we could compile a list, of what is needed for a survival situation. One list of things that you need to know, and the other, a list of things you should have on hand.
There seems to be a lot of good knowledge here and I was thinking we should get it all in one place.
Just a thought...

I wish one size fit all. People require different things. Even people in the same area require different things. I think the best we can do is narrow it down to basics Such as food water and heat or cooling. Then give options for the rest based on expertise and experience, of a general area. The ATS forums seem a good place to store knowledge for research buffs. secret is learning to use there search function. The search function will help a lot to narrow your own list for you kit.

I just thought it would be a big help for beginners.
Maybe even list where to find stuff. like starting fires, cooking, etc.
Hey, maybe we can publish an ATS survival handbook!

An extensive talk about bug-out bags. nothing is one size fits all, but there are a few lists there as templates.
