Wreckage of UFO In High Orbit Above Earth

This has been on my mond now for some time. I read in a book discussing UFOs that the wreckage of a huge mothership UFO had been found in high above Earth orbit. Apparently a joint trip by Russian and American astronauts was going to be done, all in secret of cause. but this was in the height of the Cold War, late 60s early 70's. Anyone heard about this?

Could you please let us know which book you are refering too, by which autor and possibly the year of printing. Thank you.
