USA's annual gift of billions to Israel

America gives billions of dollars ever year to Israel. The question we have to ask is why? Is it just a coincidence that the official name for Israel is "the STATE of Israel" just like "the STATE of California?" In 1948, it was America that created Israel with the help of Britain. Do you know why America continually gives Israel billions of dollars?

America just hands over billions to Israel every year? When did this start?

Aren't we required to also give as much aid to Egypt as we do Israel? I remember reading somewhere that this was one of the deals that came out of the original Camp David accords, when Sadat was still alive.

Can anyone confirm/verify? If its true, then we should also be asking why we give that much to Egypt, too.

Not a coincidence. Its just that your definition of state is not the only definition of state.

A state is a political association with effective dominion over a geographic area. It usually includes the set of institutions that claim the authority to make the rules that govern the people of the society in that territory

thanks for the info. can we prove that another country besides israel officially goes by "the state of ..." there must be atleast one more. however, most countries go by "the republic of ..." or "Kingdom of ..."
