Obama warns Pakistan on al-Qaeda

US presidential candidate Barack Obama has said he would use military force if necessary against al-Qaeda in Pakistan even without Pakistan's consent.

Mr Obama made the comments in a speech outlining his foreign policy positions.

Pakistan's foreign ministry said any threat to act against al-Qaeda from within its territory should not be used for political point-scoring.

Is he for real?
Hilary Clinton said he was naive on foreign policy, I think it shows in this statement.
I mean, even Bush has shied away from this.

We invaded Afghanistan because the Taliban were letting AQ operate there, so how long should we go on letting Al Queda operate freely in Pakistan?

We've given Pakistan lots of incentives to do the job themselves, there should be some consequences if they don't. I think Musharraf would find a way to do the job if the other option was losing control of his country when US troops cross the border.
