UK Government gives go-ahead for two new aircraft carriers

The UK's Secretary of State for Defence, Des Browne, has today announced to Parliament that the government has approved the construction of two new aircraft carriers to replace the Invincible-class aircraft carriers which have been in service since the 1980s.

They are named:

HMS Queen Elizabeth (due in 2014)
HMS Prince of Wales (due 2016)

Its about time one of the Greastest Navy's too ever sail the sea's got on with a larger Carrier. However I believe the UK would be better served with at least 5 Full sized Carriers to accomodate more aircraft and types.
It would also be nice to see the existing Carriers updated and used as supplementals.
Two is a good start though.
