Gladiator Myrmidon Helmet

Was the Gladiator helmet a resemblance of an alien's head? Well there are too much in common yes?
There there is I found an article in a site dedicated in the gladiator folclore:

It saiz that aliens where commonly approaching and abducting criminals-physically strong persons. They where been experimented with and then released back.

Of course not. The Gladiator helms were all built upon the same design. They were then tweaked for certain types of fighters.

The Gladiator Helms were probably based off the images of fish, they wanted the fighters to seem less than human, due to the manner of their occupation and status.

These forum's are micro-managed really well remind's me of being back in the army.

And i agree with Maximus the helmets and sometimes constumes of the Gladiator were created to cause excitement.

And give the wearer the appearance of an almost non human or god like warrior in order to rouse the crowd.
