I wouldn't consider him a vampire. I'm not ready to write him off as a psycho though. Perhaps he really does receive instruction or is possessed by his deities (or something masquarading as them). Since I'm not in his head (and have no desire to be) I can't answer that one though.

If he isn't actually in contact with something otherworldly on this, then he might still be sane. Publicity stunts and attention-craving don't make you psychotic -- just desperate to be recognized.
