Newscaster's on-air Paris protest

news.bbc.co.uk

US newsreader Mika Brzezinski has attempted to burn her script live on television in protest at being made to lead her bulletin on Paris Hilton.
The co-presenter of MSNBC's Morning Joe programme refused to read out the story about the celebrity socialite's release from jail ahead of items on Iraq.

"I hate it and I don't think it should be our lead," she said, before tearing up and trying to set fire to script.

Hilton has described her time in jail as "traumatic".

I have to agree with her, there are far more important things going on in the world then a spoilt rich woman being freed from prison.

worst off its a headline line news?

who cares?
who wants to know?

wouldnt that time be better off talking about real issues in the countries and so on?

Fricken awesome!

I congratulate her! She deserves a promotion.
It's about time someone stood up and refused
to report non-isues.

Reminds me of Tommy Chong on MSNBC:

Cheers for Tommy Chong and Mika Brzezinski!
