RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi government today fired the chief of a Saudi charity who has been accused of ties with terrorism. Akeel al-Akeel, the
former head of the
Al-Haramain Islamic
Foundation has been replace by his deputy, Dabbas al-Dabbasy. Saudi officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said minister of Islamic
Affairs, Saleh al-Sheik, issued the decision to remove al-Akeel.

Perhaps our "Saudi friends" are finally coming around and looking for terrorist supporters within their own government ranks.
