RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi government today fired the chief of a Saudi charity who has been accused of ties with terrorism. Akeel al-Akeel, the former head of the Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation has been replace by his deputy, Dabbas al-Dabbasy. Saudi officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said minister of Islamic Affairs, Saleh al-Sheik, issued the decision to remove al-Akeel.

www.newsday.com "In 2002, the U.S. government said it had evidence that some money from the organization's offices in Bosnia and Somalia had been diverted to support terrorist activities and blocked the assets in both offices." Perhaps our "Saudi friends" are finally coming around and looking for terrorist supporters within their own government ranks.
