(AP) PALO ALTO Ronald Leung thought he would never see his beloved 1956 Ford Thunderbird again after it was stolen from his auto-repair shop in downtown Palo Alto in 1976.

But the 59-year-old car aficionado will soon be reunited with the classic car he treasured as a young man after police called Thursday and told him the T-bird had been found in Southern California.

This is just amazing! How often does someone get their car back when it's been gone for so long?

I feel sorry for the woman who got ripped off on EBay though. I wonder if the person who sold it to her was the original thief? Probably not.

It will be interesting if they continue to follow this story and keep us up to date on the number of hands this car passed through in the last three decades.
