New embassy ?

The U.S. is planning to open a massive new embassy in the Green Zone this year despite the ongoing security threat there. Cranes litter the skyline as construction workers continue work on the new United States Embassy compound in Baghdad's fortified Green Zone. The compound will be comprised of 21 buildings across 104 acres. Once completed, the new $592-million U.S. embassy will likely be the biggest, most fortified diplomatic compound in the world.
