Interesting vid. Alright, let me give this a shot. A Long Beach California police helicopter pilot was obviously intrigued by this object. To the
viewer, the beginning of the video appears as if the bright object is a flare with hot remnants dripping down and eventually disintegrating. One also
notices that the bright object doesn’t (or seems not to) lose any of its mass as it ‘drips’ away. Now this could be attributed to the sheer
density of this object. Another reasonable assumption is that the object’s size is greater than its heat signature (as recorded on the tape).
Scientifically, it’s naïve to jump to the conclusion that the ‘drips’ are liquid cooled metal droplets as suggested by JamesinOz3. It’s
impossible to determine the tactile qualities of these ‘drips’ without literally picking one up.
Now the last portion of the video is the most appealing. After this object seems to ‘drip’ down, it appears as if it’s shooting off in a
hypersonic manner only to disappear into the atmosphere. Alright, key word is ‘appears’. Another possibility that has been overlooked is that the
helicopter is actually progressing in flight, however the helicopter pilot decides to focus on the object giving the illusion of it’s own flight.
It’s definitely…different.
