The very "grown up" medical research project of a Cleveland high school student could help change the lives of the tiniest of babies. Now a freshman
at Johns Hopkins University, Allison Blatz began her research project when she was a junior at Mentor High School.
She believed blood given to low birth weight, premature babies, may actually cause them developmental disabilities, lower I.Q.'s, and

Forty-four percent of the blood samples she tested had concentrations of materials harmful to children, especially babies.
