Republican Club at the Union League Club, 38 East 37th Street, Close to Park Avenue, beginning at 7PM.
Stossel will discuss issues addressed in his recently released book, "Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity: Get Out the Shovel - Why Everything You
Know is Wrong."
In "Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity," Stossel expands on his popular 20/20 "Myth" segments. He exposes popular myths purported by media who
distort or disregard facts and unearths such truths as: DDT and food irradiation save lives, pesticide residues are relatively harmless, that there is
no 'cancer epidemic' caused by chemical pollution and that bottled water is not better than tap.
